Intellitype Intellipoint Error when using System Update

I'm receiving the following error when I try to install ANY software from Thinkvantage System Update:

Setup cannot continue because one or more of the required installation files are missing or damaged. Run Setup again from the software CD-ROM or another reliable installation source.

I was wondering if anyone knew why this error is occurring on my T41 w/XP SP3. I've re-installed intellitype and intellipoint to make sure files were where they should be.

Any help would be appreciated... :?:

The intellitype/point software belongs to a Micro$oft mouse, not to any Thinkpad program.

Maybe you need to check that you got the latest version of SystemUpdate:
