T42p - IBM_SERVICE partition same as PDA partition?

Hello,

I have a T42p (2373KTU). Is the 4.3GB IBM_SERVICE partition the Predesktop Area (hidden) partition? I did a search in this forum and one post says that in addition to the IBM_SERVICE partition, there is a Predesktop Area partition that is hidden using the HPA feature.

Another post says that the IBM_SERVICE partition IS the Predesktop Area partition and there are no other hidden partitions.

Also, I am unable to locate the HPA removal tool (mentioned in IBM's PDA whitepaper) from IBM's website. Can someone please provide me with a link? Thanks!!

Update:

I found the Predesktop Area adminstration utility on IBM's website. When I ran it, it said that the Predesktop Area is not installed on my computer, so it looks like there are no other hidden partitions except for the IBM_SERVICE partition.
