T30 Num Lock

#1 Post by jrarizona » Mon Jan 17, 2005 10:01 am

I have an IBM T30 2367-83U that has what I think is the most recent BIOS 2.08 (1IET69WW). I am using MS XP SP1 as an OS. When this system is undocked it always boots up with the numeric lock enabled. I have attempted to use the various settings in the BIOS (auto, on, off) but none seem to work in disabling this capability.

Is there a way to disable this on boot up?

Seems to be common to all Thinkpad series. My former T30, my actual T23, a T20 from a friend, even my old A21e have the same issue.
Workaround: Shift and Scroll Lock Keys pressed to disable.(sorry, but there is nothing more to do...as far as i know!)

And other machines waiting to reborn...
