IDTech N150U3-L06 UXGA (T43) video signal/test mode Question
IDTech N150U3-L06 UXGA (T43) video signal/test mode Question
Hello,
First time poster here.
I have question about the IDTech N150U3-L06 15” UXGA display that seems to be very popular with the T43 crowd. I recently purchased this display off of eBay. I am using it not with a T43, but I am driving the signal externally via a DVI input into a LCD controller card (Digital View SVH-1920). While I understand this is not a common application, I have a more basic question.
When I hookup the inverter, the backlight lights up fine. When I hookup the LVDS cable, the LCD appears to be running in a test mode. The LCD displays color to black gradients. It will first display a red-black gradient, green-black, blue-black, white-black, and then repeat. Has anyone experienced a similar incident and does anyone have any ideas on what kind of mode this is? The signal has no problems because I can connect it to a different display (Sharp UXGA) and it displays the signal without any problems. I have also contacted the controller card manufacturer and they confirm that my LVDS cable and settings are correct for the display.
Any thoughts? Any clues would be appreciated.
Thanks
John

There are no solid standard on the LCD connector pinout. You need to check the Vcc and GND of both the controller card output and the LCD input to make sure they match.

That's an interesting application.
What is the model number of the Sharp UXGA LCD? Or better yet, do you have a link to the data sheet for it?
