Left Ultranav button came off, how to fix?

The left Ultranav button of my T40 came off. Nothing appears broken. How does one stick the button back on?

Is a touch of glue a good solution?

It looks as though the soft plastic button may fit inside the hollow ring on the underside of the fingerpiece. *At the factory*, at least... I don't see how I can do this manually.

I cannot tell you how to do it, since I have never done it myself, but glue is definitely not the way to go, esp. if nothing is broken.
