an error occurred connecting with the ibm help center

This is the error message I get when running IBM Update Connector after a factory restore. Is it me or does anyone have a solution to this?

IBM Update connector was dropped from support a couple of years ago. Download and run the installer for Thinkvantage System Update. You'll need the 2.0 .net installed from the MS Windows update site first. Also uninstall IBM update connector.
