T43- No current to inverter to lid the backlight. Why?

#1 Post by athlonus » Tue Jan 20, 2009 2:28 pm

Hello,

I am working on a friend's T43 15in with intel integrated graphics. The board is working normally however it does not activate the inverter. All I see is the blackish image on the LCD (xga).

I made sure the following are tested to be flawless:

-The inverter
-The Cable for XGA
-The LCD panel (new)

I am suspicious about the fuses on the board. Something prevents the required current to flow to the inverter. Do you have any ideas to solve this issue? I don't know the fuse locations and their particular functions by the way. Thanks in advance!

I have tried them, even shorted these fuses with solder but still no power to the inverter. I am sure that there is a specific fuse somewhere for the backlight. But where ?
