XP recovery disks for T22 in the UK?

#1 Post by traveller » Wed Jan 19, 2005 4:09 pm

Hi all,
I am new to this site and seek your advice please...I am using and very pleased with the T22 with win98.......however I would like to change over to XP.......

I find it easier to use the recovery disk for installing win98 on the T22 and wonder how I can get a recovery disk for XP to use on the T22.....would the recovery disk for the T41/R50 be usable?.....

Quite happy to pay for the disk but wonder where I could get in the UK ?.

Many thanks

Clive

Generally, you cannot buy recovery CD's for a different OS than came with the machine. I say generally, because my (long gone) A22e came with CD's for both NT4 and W2K. You need to find a T22 that came with XP, see if you can "use" that serial number, then order the CD's that way. No guarantee they would work if the models were different. You might be better to purchase an XP upgrade kit and try that (you can still do a clean install - just use your W98 CD as the base license). ... JD Hurst

get a regular recovery CD from the R40/T40 series. They work on all models (!!) because windows finds out what hardware you have, then install the missing drivers for the T22 hardware.
