I have a power management scheme defined that shuts off the LCD after five minutes. Nearly all, if not all, of the time, the screen will indeed shut off after three minutes, but several minutes later will turn back on at the lowest brightness level. This doesn't appear to have anything to do with computer activity or system events.
Anyone else seen this? I haven't reinstalled Maximizer yet, so that may clear this up, but I'm wondering if there's another solution.

Run the battery maximizer wizard. One of the options in there is to like lower LCD brightness after so many minutes idle and there is one that reduces refresh rate after so many minutes idle. Turn one option off at a time and see if that does it. I know that happened to me before I changed it. GL
