HELP! Tried to Do Multirecorder DVD Upgrade but it Fails!

I borrowed a USB Floppy drive so I could do the hard drive and DVD Multi-Recorder diskette upgrades and have to return the floppy drive tomorrow.

I ran the downloaded file, it extracted the correct files to the floppy disk, I rebooted and it launched the upgrade and said that I had K103 version and that K104 was available. You press #2 to upgrade and then it says "Loading..." However, nothing happens and then after a while it says "Not Ready Reading Drive A. Abort/Retry/Ignore/Fail".

When I press Retry the same thing happens, when I press Ignore, the main program page comes up saying it wasn't updated successfully, when I pressed Abort it came back and said updated successfully but next time I rebooted it still came up saying I had K103 and could update to K104 again.


Anyone know what's going on? I don't know what else I could do!

i called IBM (1800IBMSERV) and the guy had no idea and said my drive was the problem. when i told him that i successfully did the hard drive diskette upgrade with the same drive and floppy disk he said uh then the file you downloaded from IBM is corrupted and i should call IBM customer service (18004264968)

he didn't seem very knowledgeable and was just passing the problem onto someone else i guess.


anyone have any ideas? the floppy executable loads up fine when i boot my computer, i select to upgrade, it says FW.exe-> and "Loading..." but then it just hangs on Loading like it's not finding something or something is corrupted I don't know. Please help!

anyone? i need to take the floppy back today so it'd be great if someone had ideas.
