Pairing Bluetooth headset BT400GII to T42

I am trying to connect my GT400 GII to my IBM Thinkpad T42 2373-9XU which has built-in bluetooth capabilities.
Both the GT400 and Thinkpad T42 have no problem connecting with other bluetooth hardwares.

When i pair them and then connect them together, i hear a repeating bip-bip sound in the GII and no other sound is transmitted.
When i look to the connection status it seems that the GII is receiving sthing (or at least it is sent) but no bits are sent from the GII to the T42.

Did someone run into the same problem ?
