Hi All,

Why do I see a black screen instead of my screensaver after the alloted time has lapsed?

Strangely, when I create a slight vibration near my T42, I can see the screensaver momentarily for a split second before the screen activates.

Could this behavior be due to my very low screen brightness? I have it set at 0 at all times.

Also, why does my laptop hibernate even thogh I have set it ti 'never'
Please advice.

This is probably because you have it set for the monitor to turn off before the screen saver so your screen saver is probably working, its just that you cant see it because the monitor isnt on. If you want to save battery power, having the monitor turn off is what you would want.
