wireless connection icon disappears when disconnected

#1 Post by zver17 » Thu Jan 27, 2005 3:26 pm

i previously had a wireless connection icon in the system tray that stayed there even when i rightclick>disabled it, which was convenient when reconnecting. now for some reason it disappears, which then requires going to the control pannel to re-connect. what happened? I use winXP, classic windows, and 'do not hide inactive icons'.

I'm not sure exactly, but there is a box to put a check if you want the icon to be visible when connected. I assume then that if not connected, the icon disappears. It is somewhere in Network connections. Then, if it is not checked, when not connected, the icon will disappear.
