Bluetooth for a T42

#1 Post by MurrayShafiroff » Mon Apr 06, 2009 4:40 pm

Could someone tell me if I can use a 91P7315 Bluetooth daughter card in a T42.
I've installed it and it doesn't show up in the BIOS (3.23 latest version)
I inserted a plain Modem daughter card (91P7657) and it also doesn't show in the BIOS.

When I insert a a 39T0024 (Bluetooth IV from a T43) the T$@ throws a 1803 error (unsupported daughter card)

So my question is, is the connection in the T42 bad, or do I need to have only a 91P7319 Bluetooth for a T42?

Thanks
MFS

You have to run the BT utility package, then turn it on via the BT icon in the task tray, Fn+F5 or via AC. Then it will load the driver. There are two versions, BMDC200 and BMDC200B.
