Would SATA also become external on new T-series

Dear all,


A bit of a question of prediction I suppose, but do you people think that SATA will also be provided as an external connection on new laptops once they start using it for the interal HD. After all it is a bit similar to USB (serial, hot pluggable, ...), but then only for HD ?
Alternatively does any of you know of a good and cheap converter to connect a SATA-drive on a USB port ??
