LCD Flashes Off, Then On, When Adjusting Display
LCD Flashes Off, Then On, When Adjusting Display
I installed a new display in my T42 and have a major issue. Does anyone know what this is symptomatic of? Adjusting the display up or down, or pressing against the LCD bezel, causes the screen to briefly go black and then back on. No loose connections anywhere. Old display didn't have this problem. Is it safe to assume it's a defective LCD? Also, browsing the web, when you place the cursor on a link the pointer has difficulty changing from the arrow to the hand.

Re: LCD Flashes Off, Then On, When Adjusting Display
In order of liklihood as the cause of your issue I'd list; LCD cable (reseat or replace), then LCD panel.
Re: LCD Flashes Off, Then On, When Adjusting Display
We can rule out the LCD cable. Excuse my ignorance, but can LCD panels actually be repaired in any way?
