How much do you set your brightness for T41?

#1 Post by firstep » Sun Jan 30, 2005 5:03 am

Hello, fellows. How much do you set your brightness for T41, from 0 to 7?

I currently set 6 when adaptor is connected and 7 when battery is in use. Is it normal? I just feel my LCD looks pretty dark compared with my Dell LCD. Anyone has experience to replace the LCD in this situation? Thank you so much.

To change the brighness, hold the Fn key and press either Home (up) and End (down). Other settings can be altered from the Battery MaxiMizer panels to configure theme-based settings, including the brightness.
Also, if you want max brightness when on DC (battery) change the setting in Thinkpad Configuration menu, under LCD, to "high".

i think the poster was just curious what other people are setting their screen brightness at...instead of actually how to change the setting. sorry for the clarification:)

I keep mine at 3 or 4 most of the time. I find 7 to be too bright, especially if I'm in a dark room. I got used to the dimness of 4. I find I can stare at the screen longer with it dimmer. I use that on AC and battery.
