Forward and Back keys

#1 Post by RonS » Sun Jan 30, 2005 1:20 pm

I have an annoying problem with the forward/back keys on my T42p. Rather than taking me forward/backward one page, my browser jumps two pages.

It's behaving just like I pressed the Back/Foward buttons (at the top of Internet Explorer) twice. I even hear two "clicks" like I pressed the key twice.

I played around with UltraNav settings and the IBM Keyboard Customizer Utility, but nothing seem to address the problem.

Any ideas?

I suggest you check out all of your other buttons too, perhaps it's a faulty keyboard. I had a mouse button that often clicked two times when I pressed it once, got it replaced.

I figured it out.

I installed a Microsoft Wireless keyboard that includes forward and back keys, and those keys ended up being mapped twice. I went into the Microsoft Wireless Keyboard key settings and disabled the Forward/Back keys. Now both sets of keys (the ones on the Thinkpad and the ones on the wireless keyboard) work correctly.
