T42: PCI or AGP?

#1 Post by katman » Sun Jun 06, 2004 11:24 pm

In the BIOS, it says that the primary video device is PCI. Should it read AGP? I thought it was AGP...

The PCI bit only comes into play if you plug a PCI graphics card into the minidock with the 1/2 PCI slot. Otherwise, it has no effect on the laptop. (That's what it is for so that you can set the default primary if you have a graphics card in the PCI slot in the dock... if you don't use the dock, then it's always the AGP port internal on the laptop.. They made this the default just in case people couldn't figure out how to get a graphics card plugged into a minidock to work)

In otherwords, it's nothing to worry about and leave well enough alone.
