The ATI website has some really cool DirectX9 real-time demos for the 9700 and 9800 but they also look great on the 64mb Radeon 9600 and 128mb FireGL T2. Take a look:

Will they run on the firegl? I considered downloading them.. but the 9700 and 9800 cards are substantially more powerful than the 9600s, and they support some extra features, that I would think a tech demo would show off???

I tried the 9600 and 9000 demos though, nothing much.. although the "Mystery island" demo or whatever it was called, was pretty neat.

Yes, they run fine. The only requirement is DirectX9. The "Rendering with Natural Light" 9700 Demo is the most impressive:

My FireGL T2 has no problems running it smoothly at 1600x1200x32bit.
