Removing "Hair" from behind the screen
Removing "Hair" from behind the screen
Somehow, a small little hair has went into the screen and it's moving nearer and nearer to the middle of the screen everyday causing a small crack-like line on my screen.
I need to remove it, is it possible?

Don't even think about it...unless you have a hospital-quality dust-free room and tons of experience in disassembling LCDs...

Have to agree with George here...
Happened to me once. If the machine is under warranty, Lenovo will replace the screen free of charge.

Been using this T42 for close to 7 year, don't think there's any more warranty

Re: Removing "Hair" from behind the screen
Wow, you've been using a model that only came out 5 years ago for close to 7 years?! You must get really good access to pre-production technology in Singapore!
Kidding.
Unfortunately, there is no good solution to this other than an LCD swap... Or just shake it and hope that the hair moves away to a place where it is unnoticeable. Happened to me with some dust particles in the past. Dunno what you can expect with a hair, though.
