#1 Post by vi » Tue Feb 01, 2005 3:22 am

afaik
first is cover material
second is manufacturer country
third is price

and that's all that i know.

But if there are same displays and processors and ram etc... anyone can tell me other difference between two same model from different series.
I suppose to buy T or R model.....

Thanks.

A friend of mine owns a R51 while I got myself a T42p. Technically there is not much difference. One thing I noticed is the height of the notebook. The T42p is slimmer than the R51.

The thing I don't get is why they only offer firewire in R-series ThinkPads when the rest of the hardware is nearly identical...
It's a trick. Get an axe.

Yeah - that seems to fit but I'd have to measure to be sure :)

What I know for sure is that there's no T-series model with integrated firewire. I'm not sure about X and G series
