T43P case designs Question

#1 Post by Springdale » Sun May 31, 2009 2:21 am

I'm sorry to bother with this narrow question, but I was curious about the T43 series and color of the laptop. I could of sworn that my T43 I had a few years ago was much darker black versus my T42 and T43p which has a lighter shade of black. Looking at the DVD/CDRW drive it's that darker shade that would match the type of thinkpads like my old T43.

I don't recall ever noticing that the case color of any Thinkpad was different, but the Optical drives are made by several manufacturers, so it would not surprise me if the bezel color on a particular drive were slightly darker.

My wife has a T43p (2669-PDG) and I have a T43 (1871-FWG). They are exactly the same colour.
