drivers & thinkvantage does not work after install

Hey all, I have a friend's T41 that I wiped clean and installed Win XP Pro and SP2. I installed all the drivers as well as the thinkvantage stuff, but nothing works. Xp does not even have an option to connect to a wireless network; the ethernet port works but the computer will not connect to the internet, even with the driver installed. I have no idea what to try now but I may just end up copying one of my other thinkpad's hard drives but I would prefer figuring out the issue with the drivers though...

What does the Device Manager list show for the ethernet driver, working properly? No yellow question mark? Which driver did you use?
