one possibilty could be using a 99% pure silver coin with AS5 on both sides of the coin(2 mm thick coins) on the GPU instead of the thermal pad but that would require a visit to the local jeweller for the machine tools. not the first choice.

maybe raising the mobo height by 1 mm by placing something between the base and mobo would bring the gpu and heatsink in tight contact thereby ridding the need for a pad and using as5 on gpu as well. cheaper/est solution i guess?

lastly does the northbridge of t42 get v hot? wats the possibilty of 91p8754/26r8197 fitting a t42?
