I am running IBM drivers and wondring if I am missing much... I certainly put the card to more work than play, so stability is a key :)

"....stability is a key"

ATI historically has not provided downloadable drivers for mobile video chipsets. They will refer you to the notebook vendor.

I haven't checked for your drivers, but I would not be suprised if you find there aren't any for you to try.

Ibm, on the other hand, does make updates available for download!

Although I have a MR9600, using the [modded] ATI driver (4.12 in my case) is much faster than the IBM version.

But if you're using it (more) for work than play, I'd stick with the IBM drivers.

What's "much faster"? Any benchmarks?

Someone did benchmark the drivers (IBM vs. Omega vs. DNA vs. ATI with mobility mod) several months back when Doom 3 first came out. Don't remember the results though.

I say save the headache and keep the IBM drivers. From what I remember, it was not much difference at all and it caused problems to crop up.
