What other IBM software to load on T43P??

Help a guy out here, please. Just picked up a T43P really cheap and it is in excellent shape. Doesn't even appear like it was used, not a scratch on it and the screen is perfect. The problem, the only thing that was loaded on it was WinXP Pro, nothing else. I have updated the wireless ABG driver, downloaded and installed the PWR Management program and Access Connections. Anything else that would help without bloating it up. Some of the IBM software is great as I remember from my T42. Any "must have" suggestions welcomed.

Another way to go about it would be to obtain a set of restore disks, do a full install from them, and then eliminate what you personally don't find appetizing...that's the way I do it, but it doesn't mean it's the only way...

Make sure there are no missing drivers in Device Manager.

In addition to AC and Power Manager, I would load the following:

1. Hotkey utility
2. Presentation director
3. RecordNow
4. WinDVD

There is a complete RecordNow package but only WinDVD update on Lenovo.com. So you need the distribution disk for that.

I would argue there's other good free burning software that's much less farty and bloated than RecordNow. CDBurnerXP would be an example. It offers most of the thing that typical users do and has a much smaller footprint. I never really cared for WinDVD. VideoLAN is a good substitute. The only other ThinkVantage Tools I use is hard drive protection. I don't use Access Connections. It can have some benefits for managing multiple networks, but I use mine mostly at home with the occasional trip about town.
