T43 Optical Drive

A friend of mine has a T43, that the optical drive stopped working. He tried cleaning the laser lens, but it sill won't
read media. The FRU P/N is 13N6769

Does anybody have suggestions where he might be able to find one of these drives?

Hi

The 13N6769 is a 'standard' CD-RW/DVD drive which fits Thinkpads across the T40-1-2-3 range.

I've just done a check on eBay.com and there are around 20 for sale there.

Also you could put a Want To Buy (WTB) on Market Place in these forums.
