IBM ThinkPad T43 Harddrive Crashed and No Recovery CD

Hello,

can anybody help me. I have bought a used ThinkPad T43 with Original Windows XP installed on it. Now my Harddrive has got crashed (Hardware Crash !), and I have got no IBM Recovery CD to reinstall the Notebook again with all IBM Features (ACCESS IBM) Button and so on. Can anybody help me what I can do !!!

Put a WTB (want to buy) ad in our Market forum for a set of T43 recovery CDs.
Mention the exact Type/Model, because there are 2 versions.

First of all, welcome to the forum. Many of us have had hard disk drive failures so you are not alone.
What machine type and model is your T43. I have a 1871-FWG and I have a complete set of recovery disks. If you have the same machine type then I may be able to help you recover to factory settings, however all your own data is probably lost for ever.

Edit on 9th October 2009. My offer of help with recovery disks only makes sense if you are in the UK or European Union. Otherwise the costs of postage and customs charges make the whole idea impractical.
