UPDATE - MobileMeter Breaks Standby!

#1 Post by JHEM » Fri Feb 04, 2005 2:31 pm

Just a note to say I noticed that after installing the latest MobileMeter, I lost the ability to go into standby with my T40 under XP.

I un-installed it and everything was back to normal.

Update - Did a bit of tinkering under the hood after everyone said they weren't experiencing any problems with MM. I believe I've narrowed the problem down to it's actually being MediaPlayer 10! Due to it's persistent online connection, it wasn't releasing the WiFi connection and prevented standby. All sorted now and MM is running happlily.

Regards,

James

Interesting, not on mine. Maybe it's a subtle difference in the T42. (Maybe it's cause the Pats are going to win ;-) ).

MM works fine on my T42...no interference with standby or hibernation.

Just wish I could park the CPU temp reading onto task bar.

0.3.1.0 seems to work fine on my T42 - I can standby and restore with mobmeter on. I don't think there are any drastic board-level changes between the T40 and T42...

Hi guys,

How do you uninstall MobileMeter? Also, how do find out if it is still on your hd?

Cheers and best regards,
Ranjit

FLY Eagles FLY!!!

If I can't have "Broadway Joe" and my beloved Jets, I'll take the Eagles!

I'll be incommunicado for most of tomorrow as we're making two runs to CRG in the Learjet to drop off customers, then hopefully back to TEB in time for kickoff at SIL's (the ex. PSU kicker).

Due to aircraft saturation in the area, GA aircraft arriving at CRG or JAA to RON are being dispersed to surrounding airfields as far away as Savannah! Lots of PO'd ticket-holding pilots arriving in JAX only to be told they'll have to head for St. Simons, GA or FLL, FL and take a limo back to JAX for the game!

Regards,

James

Original cat's tongue or new gel?

You'd have to give me odds if you want a cat's tongue! ;-)

Well, I won't "gloat". The Eagles played well, and I meant what I said about my persistent feelings for any "underdog". In any case, at risk of blasphemy, IMHO, its "Only A Game", and much less important than the comradeship that I feel with my fellow members on this board.

(James, I'll PM you the address to send the Gel Cap. It was much too close for a Cats Tongue :-) ).
