t42 screw set

hi i ordered a screw set from ebay for t42 and i got different looking heads on the screws although the lower part (stick) seems similar.

any advice on these?

the screw on the upper part of the photo is a keyboard screw with a thin head originally on my t42
and lower part of the photo is the screwset which i have received with the thicker head.

seller says only one kind of screws are available in market for t4x.

could someone throw some light on this confusion?

As long as the screws body have the same length, it should be ok. The bigger head screws appear more commonly on R5x keyboards.

interesting that thinkpads have different screws even!

The first two digits in the serial number indicates the factory it was assembled and there are many. I even have a made in US T42p. It has different screw heads using #0 driver instead of normally #1, probably a unit bought by the US government.

interesting is there a list to check the factory corresponding to the serial no., just for fun.
