Owner says that audio driver is not installed thats why there is no sound. Beeps is heard.

Watch for abnormal fan noise, battery condition. Bring an Audio driver disk and see if there is a problem. Take a look at the Control Panel, Hardware, Device list and see if there are any anomalies.

It might be a good idea to test it with PC Doctor for DOS. If there are any errors then you can negotiate.

If it's a machine with ATi graphics, start it up and let it get warm. Then turn it on and off ten times in a row, letting it run for a minute each time.

If there's no freezing/loss of display you should be OK.

Good luck.

I bought it! Pc Doctor didn't fail at any test. I didn't run memory and hdd tests. Tried to bend and powered on/off few times. It smells like flowers or something. =) Women...

I had to test with my t20 hdd seagate 120gt. It worked straight from the "box". :!: Hdd is from mobo fried acer laptop. It doesn't give that 2010 error on boot. Bios is the newest. Hdd specs are: Seagate Momentus 5400.2 120gt ST9120821A. At this unit, that hdd list for t43 is accurate. Going to swap discs permanently

In case anyone reads this in the future, it is a really bad idea to bend or flex a T4X machine to test for a bad GPU, because if it didn't have the issue beforehand it might develop it as a result of the forced flexing. These machines need to be handled with (2) hands and you must avoid flexing at all costs.

Of course. That's why I was very carefully with that test. When I meant to bend, I just lifted it just a bit from one corner. That's all. Don't worry harryc
