Question About Video Output and the ThinkPad Dock II

I have a T43 and I'd like to use it with the Dock II (and an appropriate PCI graphics card) to get multi-monitor support. Does this work? That is, would I be able to get the display on my ThinkPad as well as on an external monitor at the same time?
