Cross-Ref this PN on Schematics to Model Numbers??

howdy guys,

Does anyone have a cross-ref which shows which model/type numbers this part/assy number was used in?

That's in the title block of a set of schematics that I have.....implying that it's the part or assy number of a planar board (mainboard)....but google doesn't think so.

Also in the title-block is "Apollo 9".....and on various pages of the set it calls out M6/M7/M8/M9/M9+/M10/M9GL/M10GL, which I'm guessing refers to different ATI parts.

I'm almost positive this set is for the T40 series....but have no clue -which- T4x's...and I wonder if it could be X30's instead....??

It'd be nice to know T40,41,42,etc.....but if your cross-ref gives more info, it'd be GREAT to have a list of actual 7-digit type-numbers!

The papers you have found are T40/T41 schematics, dating from ca. 2003.
"Apollo-9" is the motherboard/planar name.
These schematics are normally IBM Confidential, and not accessible outside of IBM itself.
13R1151 may be the internal reference number for this planar.

if these are confidential and are with a member of this forum then is it possible to get a copy for a t42 motherboard too? would it be floating around here?

I believe that the forum's position on posting links to IBM/Lenovo proprietary and confidential material is that it will not be allowed. You are of course free to use whatever search engines you desire to find the information yourself.

sadly, forum.thinkpads.com can not allow the posting of IBM Confidential schematics..
we have asked for and received a ruling on this from lenovo..

while they also observed that we can not stop a forum member from posting a link to the schematic it might be wise for the poster not to do so since lenovo would probably trace it down and put an abrupt end to it..

if it were up to me i would allow the schmatics to be available..
it would help the brand i believe..

Does anyone know if there's a cross-ref doc in existence that correlates this PN to type-numbers....or at least to 'normal' planar PN's as used in the online lookups?

I have not seen one but there probably is one in existence behind the corporate walls of IBM and/or Lenovo. Plugging in that planar FRU into the support and download page comes up empty so it's possible that they are internal numbers as RBS suggests, or that they are (were) preliminary designs or IBM/Lenovo simply didn't put those FRUs into the searchable online support database. I have seen planar names associated in part lookups before but they're not always provided.
