Does anybody know the temperature T42s would shutdown/freeze? I've been playing Counterstrike recently, and noticed that after playing for about 45 mins, my computer would freeze hard--nothing works, have to hold the power for 4 secs and power back up. I noticed that my CPU temp is usually around 58 degrees Celsius.
Thanks,
Wes.
Unsafe temperature for T42s?
Re: Unsafe temperature for T42s?
It shouldn't freeze. I usually play CS for hours without any problem. Have you tried other games? Moreover CS uses a pretty old engine (Quake II), so I assume that playing COD, MOHAA etc. would have the same result. What surface do you keep your TP? Can the air properly circulate through the fan? Might be just a CS bug. Try another games/demos.

Thanks for the reply...I think I found my problem...I bought a PNY 256mb memory module (from Bestbuy), and apparently, when it's in, it'll freeze up. I took it out, and CS works fine for hours. So, I guess I'll have to try and see if I can get a replacement...
