Anyone tried IBM external USB Keyboard with Ultranav
Has anyone used the IBM external USB Keyboard with Ultranav http://www-132.ibm.com/webapp/wcs/store ... &storeId=1
I am an X31 user and I really like the keyboard on my thinkpad and want to get one of the above mentioned external keyboards to use for my desktop. However, I was out one day at a car dealership and they had one hooked up to a kiosk. It was much more noisy than my Thinkpad keyboard and felt less spongy and really not nearly as nice as my notebook keyboard.
Has anyone tried one of these external keyboards? Are they noisy or quiet and do they feel exactly like the keyboards on the notebooks.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The Ultranav keyboard is supposed to be the same.IBM_X31 wrote:Has anyone used the IBM external USB Keyboard with Ultranav http://www-132.ibm.com/webapp/wcs/store ... &storeId=1

I wouldn't be surprised if the kiosk one was a China keyboard, they're louder, flexier, and the keypress is spongier in feel.

If you don't notice anything special or not special with your keyboard, you won't notice the difference between the Thai and the Chinese, and you'll think we're all crazy (might be right).
If you pay attention to keyboard feel/typing speed when you purchase a laptop, the difference will be night and day and you'll be able to tell 110% of the time in any double-blind test between the two.

So does anyone know if there is a "chinese" vs "thai" version of this ultranav keyboard?
I only know of the keyboard on the x31 and it is truly exceptional. However, the external ultranav keyboard that I saw at the car dealership wasn't nearly as nice as my x31 one and I am a bit afraid to order one incase the keyboard sucks.

Swedish Ultranav keyboard, XLNT
Im using this excellent keyboard with both touchpad and trackpoint. I have 2, one at home and one at work, I dont want to use any other keyboard since im so used to it. I think this keyboard got some "awards" at the CeBit last year. Only thing I miss is an integrated fingerprint scanner, that would have been cool....
