samsung 160 gb hard drive on thinkpad T42

will the samsung spinpoint 160gb hard drive give the error on a T42?

No drives will give any error on a T42 or any prior ThinkPad.

The only machines affected by "2010 error" are R52, T43/p and X41, because of their SATA-to-PATA bridge.

BTW, I had a Samsung 160GB in a T42 and loved it.
