Everything is installed and up and running. And it's all perfectly fine (even the Northgate keyboard on the dock). I can only see the performance improvement with the digital photography - and the improvement there is huge (that's probably because 512 megs of ram is 4 times better than 128).
The memory key is very cool for small backups. I just wish it was a cheaper backup medium. I bought a USB zip drive (Iomega has a rebate offer and Office Depot had a $15 coupon - so it seemed like a good time to buy one). I find that zip backups suit my backup needs better than other things I've tried (I always keep one backup offsite in a safe deposit box - and one at home).
I have to say that the single most impressive thing about the configuration is the dock. I have everything (and I mean *everything*) plugged in - keyboard, monitor, mouse, camera, ethernet, removables like a floppy drive, card reader, Zip drive - the kitchen sink. There's a place for everything - and everything - whether legacy or bought yesterday - works fine.
Only feature I haven't fiddled with is the wireless - because I don't have wireless in my house. I did however manage to pick up my neighbor's wireless connection from 3 doors down
