Dock II and T41 Hanging

When my T41 (2373AFU), is attached to a Dock II, the systems hangs at the IBM screen whenever the computer is booted. Undocking, booting, then hotdocking works fine but is inconvenient. Also, most of the time, I cannot undock without shutting off. (Sometimes I can). The message is that the generic volume cannot be stopped. The T41 works fine with my MiniDock and my T23 works with the Dock II so I assume it is a bios or other other configuation issue. Any ideas? Thanks.

you arent using a KVM switch are you?

Make sure that anything accessing a 2nd hard drive is closed out so that doesn't interfere...

Even when I remove my second HD, I still have a problem. I'm clueless. May be I have a defective Dock?

Do KVM switches cause problems with docks and port replicators?

Im thinking about buying one.
