is bluetooth a CRU?
I am leaning to get through Bill the 2373-7XU. However, this unit does not have Bluetooh. Does any one knows is I can replace the modem to contain it? How much it will cost?
Re: is bluetooth a CRU?
2373-7XU doesn't have a Bluetooth antenna in the LCD. So the answer is no, it's not CRU.

Re: thanks
Sorry for the bad news. What about a Bluetooth PC Card? I know the antenna sticks out a little, but at least you have it.

You're right
You both are right!
Well the DYU is the same as the one I wanted (7XU) and Bill's price and MasterCard price puts them around same price.
Why not a PCMCIA card? well, because I should not need that after I am expending $3000+!
Thank you both!

edelrc,
FWIW, my ThinkPad did not come with Bluetooth but I changed my modem out for the BT modem and installed the antenna and it's working great now. It's not as easy as a CRU (lots more screws) but if you are comfortable disassembling a laptop it should be no problem. There are no wound springs that will pop out at you.
Of course, the modem and antenna cost in excess of $100, so it might be cheaper to go with the other laptop.
