what type of hard drive for my T41

Ok guys I ordered my memory now I want to upgrade my 40GB 54000RPM hard drive to a bigger and faster. Is there a limet I can go like 160GB? 500GB? 1TB?

You need a PATA laptop drive and the biggest one in production is 320GB. There is no known limit for HD size on these machines.

As ajkula66 said, the biggest made (as of today) is the WD 320GB PATA HDD.

Nice thing about buying this drive is I can install the recovery partition (XP Pro SP1 or SP2), you can do a fresh install and be on your way!

Try to get always a WD. I upgraded my T42 with a WD160BEVE (5400RPM), and it runs Excellent.

No, these are 5400rpm drives. They are faster than older 7200rpm drives.
