Disable Maximiser?

Is it possible to disable the maximiser altogether?

For some reason, every since I configured it and put it on the task bar, the taskbar itself seems to be locking up ocassionally. The other programs work fine. I just cant click on anything down there (the taskbar :) )

I would have to restart my computer to cure it. Now Im not positive that is the culprit but im just trying to figure out whats wrong

Start>Control Panel>Add or Remove Programs>Remove IBM Thinkpad Batter MaxiMiser and Power Management Features
