Awaiting Delivery

Just purchased a 2373-P3U (with EPP if that makes a difference). They've told me that it's backordered and it will be 3 weeks until delivery. What a bummer, is it really going to be 3 weeks? I think I remember reading some posts that have said that they bumped it up substantially. Does IBM chronically overshoot these estimates? I'm so excited, can't wait!

My sister recently bought a T42 (also using EPP) and it ended up shipping about a week earlier than their estimated ship date; but this was a Thinkpad Express model, and I think that those are prebuilt and can ship out much quicker.

This morning I just ordered a T42 (2373-9XU) and they have an estimated ship date of March 7th for me :cry: I'm hoping that their estimates are ultra-conservative!!

I ordered my 23739XU Thurday afternoon and I got it this morning even though the original ship date was 03/05. Welcome to the family!

I purchased a 2378-FVU for a friend. It arrived monday. It was scheduled to ship out four days from now :-).

Hey...

My experience has been that unless it's a reall odball setup they ususally ship it within a week. All the thinkpads that I have ordered (5 so far) through EPP and IBM web site have all arrived within 7 business days.

Just mu 2c.
