wifi indicator,Fn-F5 not working

#1 Post by bobcardone » Mon Nov 23, 2009 7:24 pm

It's a T40 with a Broadcomm b/g wifi.
Newest BIOS and EC, new 80G HD.
First, I installed the wifi adapter and powered it up.
Got the 1802 error, fixed that.
Installed TinyXP Rev9, it recognized the wifi and loaded drivers for it.
Installed all the IBM drivers I thought applied. (no wifi drivers, tho)

Everything works great except for a minor (but irritating) thing...
Fn-F5 key combo doesn't toggle the wifi adapter on or off (the LED indicator never lights up, either).
All the other function combos work.
I can enable/ disable the wifi in network connections.
Has anyone else run across this issue with non-IBM wifi adapters?
Thanks,
BobC

Did you install the Hotkey drivers?
