Successful T43 15" upgrade to SXGA+

Good news: I was able to upgrade my 2686-DHU 15" XGA T43 to a SXGA+ (1400 x 1050) screen with no problems. I bought the LCD assembly on Ebay from laptopdemo. It took nearly 4 weeks to arrive because he forgot to ship it, but the screen is fine except for some black "smudges" on the inside surface of the LCD lens. Looks like I'll have to disassemble the LCD assembly to clean it.

There's a huge increase in screen real estate between the 1024 x 768 and 1400 x 1050 resolutions. I really like it because I've extended the life of my beloved T43!

Next steps: Maybe a 64GB IDE SSD and a Bluetooth CDC...

BTW, if anyone wants the old 15" screen, let me know.
