Hard drive size?

#1 Post by drmacpro » Mon Dec 21, 2009 4:39 pm

Two Questions (well, three)

1. What's the biggest hard drive I can put in a T41?

2. What Specification must the drive have? (Size, type?)

3. And what's the max ram for the T41? (Currently have 512, wanna max it out)
Thinkpad T41 | 1.6 GHz | 512 MB RAM | ATI RADEON 7500 32 MB| 40 GB IDE HD |

1.) There is no limit, however the largest PATA laptop hard drive is 320GB
2.) 2.5" IDE/PATA/ATA6 Laptop hard drive
3.) 2x 1GB PC2700 = 2GB total

T41 calls for a 9.5mm (2.5") laptop PATA/IDE hard drive. The largest size on the market is currently 320GB/5400rpm.

Maximum RAM is 2x1GB, PC2700 (DDR333) or PC3200 (DDR400). Make sure it's NOT PC2-3200.
