Could someone please explain to me how to decipher the numbers under Performance in the Task Manager? I mean, if the computer was working normally, what would the numbers of the most important functions be?
The reason for my question is because I have been having problems for awhile now with the computer doing strange things, and then a notice popped up on my screen saying that my computer was infected. I ran Avira and it said I had 22 infections but it does not offer to delete them. This did not seem like the regular popup. And with all the problems with the computer lately I do believe it could have a virus, et.
I can't find anyway to know if my computer is off technologically without understanding the Performance graph. The explanations of what the functions are for, do not tell me what the healthy figures should be. Is there somewhere it is explained? I could not find anything under Access IBM.
Thank you for your help ,
Sand

Re: Windows Task Manager
The latest version of Avira does not offer an option when virus items are found (ignore, quarantine, delete, etc are no longer listed). It knows what to do with the items that it finds so let it do what it wants.
Then download MalwareBytes anti-malware and run it.
Get rid of the infections before doing anything else.
