Recently, I've been having some connection problems with my wifi card, an Intel 2200bg card.
Previously, it's been super reliable, always connecting (automatic connection setting) instantly and not losing connection very often.
I messed around with the settings recently at wifi hotspots but I don't see how that would cause major problems.
This morning, it was connecting and disconnecting within seconds of each other with an alternating situation that got really annoying really fast. I checked settings and tried various changes. When nothing worked, I rebooted and it seems to be connected now and nothing changing (yet?).
Anyone have any idea?
I am trying to learn more about wireless but so far, the subject is so complicated and I really don't have any idea of what was going on (regarding the problem).
I think the hardware itself is good or at least, I hope it is. It's been pretty decent since I switched to it.

Do you have xp sp3? I had problems like that with sp3, and now I don't use it.
Good luck

Don't use which?
Yes, I have SP3. The wifi card is behaving now but I was able to connect an ethernet cable for the meantime.

Re: Intel wifi 2200bg troubles
There is an update to sp2, to connect to hidden networks that has the same problems, and they generally clear up eventually. Glad to hear its working.
