Is My T42 Dead?

#1 Post by Danny Manabat » Thu Jan 07, 2010 11:02 am

I have not used my T42 for around 6 months.

Today I opened it and pressed the power button. No display, no beeps, just the yellow power light but I can hear the fan spinning.

I removed the hdd, optical drive and memory. Then I did 10 times pressing the power button and held it down for another 30 seconds. Then I pressed the power button to start up. I see the yellow power button light up up again no beeps.

Can anyone share his views, experiences?

Unfortunately, if you hear no beeps with all RAM removed, your motherboard is dead.
