Stuck pixel question

#1 Post by kev009 » Mon Feb 21, 2005 12:28 am

I just noticed that I have a stuck red pixel in the upper right corner. It doesn't really bother me and certainly isn't worth sending back as it is now. However I am concerned since I did not see it when I got the T42. Is it safe to assume additional dead pixels will not occur or do they spring up in groups? Any quick n dirty fixes?

The short of it is, dead pixels can and sometimes do pop in with time, they sometimes go away intermittently. It's essentially a bad electrical connection - is the wire frayed, or is it cut completely? Sometimes for the intermittent ones, softly massaging the screen will make a dead pixel go away, but sometimes that will make a working but faulty-pixel go bad on you.
